The Giddings Food Pantry is a 501c3 non-profit organization that was started in June of
2004 with it’s first “Giveaway” in September of that year. It is a totally volunteer
organization. The Giddings Food Pantry started with the support of the First Baptist Church in
Giddings who underwrote their expenses and allowed them use of their Bus Barn for
food sorting and Fellowship Hall for intake.
Today, thanks to the generosity of the people of Giddings and Lee County, the Giddings
Food Pantry owns its own building at 190 N Harris and serves an average of 230
families on 4 different dates each month through 3 different food programs.
We welcome volunteers to assist in preparation of food and handing out food.
